Need to email someone a Word document, picture, or PDF file but don't know how to email a file? Well hey now worries , it's really fairly simple to do and only takes a few steps. Here's how it's done.
First make sure that you know the location of the file that you want to upload. The file will be wherever you saved it to, it could be on your desktop, in your documents folder, etc. In this example, we will just say that it's saved in your documents folder.
Next log into your e-mail account and create a new e-mail form by clicking the "Compose" compose button.
Enter the address of the recipient in the "To" section and then type a subject in the subject line.
Alright, now it's time to attach your file to the email so that when you click the send button, the file will be inluced in the email. To attach a file, click the "Attach A File" link located at the bottom left under the subject.
A window will then pop up. The window is meant to open so that you can locate the file that you want to send. In this example, we are assuming that the file is saved in your documents folder.
Click the documents tab on the left side of the window and then locate the file you want to send. In the image above, I am selecting a picture of myself. Select the file by left clicking on it one time. The file will then be highlighted.
When you are done, click the open button on the lower right section of the window. The window will then close and you will be sent back to your email form. At this point the file will be uploaded or "attached" to your email as seen below.
Now that the file is attached, you can finish up by clickend the send button in your email account. The email will now be sent with your file included. That's how to email a file in a nutshell but one more thing before you leave...
To verify that your email was sent, click the "sent email" tab at the left of your email account window. A list of sent emails will appear and you should see your email at the top of the list.
